John Ryan is the author of America's Trial: Torture and the 9/11 Case on Guantanamo Bay and other acclaimed journalism.
Over the past decade, he has made nearly 60 reporting trips to the U.S. Naval Base at Guantánamo Bay, as one of only two journalists to live part-time on the base to cover trial and detention operations. He has earned numerous journalistic distinctions for his coverage of Guantanamo and other global and domestic justice issues.
